Jeff Hale opened Olde Towne Car Care in 1983. As you head north on Washington Street leaving Old Town Alexandria, the station is the last one you will pass on your way to the Nation’s Capitol. Jeff is unusual in that he is an on-site owner and operator. He is also accomplished mechanic, and "turned a wrench" himself for the first five years. He lives in Alexandria, and started school at Groveton Elementary, which is today called West Potomac. As the saying goes, you "can eat off of the floors" in the shop, they are kept so clean. Jeff depends mostly on repeat business and word of mouth advertising. His staff will work on anything from an old Volkswagen to a new Mercedes. They can handle all service and factory maintenance schedules. The staff attends about fifty hours of training every year at the Automotive Training Institute. Cliff, better known as Doc, has been the head technician for ten years, and also lives in Alexandria. Wayne was born in Alexandria and has been an automotive technician for twenty years.
Jeff has two teenaged sons, Steve and Kenny. They work at the station during the summer, and Steve is interested in an automotive career.
